Part 4 Of The Holy Trinity Series – Conclusion
Hello, everyone. Today is the conclusion of the Holy Trinity series. The word “Triune” in today’s title simply means consisting of three in one. One God in Three Distinct Persons – God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. In review, parts 1-3 explored ten attributes of God, ten characteristics of Jesus and six ministries of the Holy Spirit.
Today, I will continue to seek the scriptures as I discuss the following: 1. There is Only One God, 2. There is One God in three distinct persons, and 3. All three distinct persons are fully God.
1. There Is Only One God
Isaiah 43:10 NLT – “But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord. “You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be.”
Isaiah 44:6 NLT – “This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies: “I am the First and the Last; there is no other God.”
1 Corinthians 8:4 NLT – “So, what about eating meat that has been offered to idols? Well, we all know that an idol is not really a god and that there is only one God.”
So, from the verses above (there are others), we can conclude that there is Only One God.
2. One God In Three Distinct Persons
Matthew 3:16-17 NLT – “After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”
What a beautiful display of unity from the Holy Trinity at the baptism of Jesus! Here, we can see the three distinct persons of the Holy Trinity. God the Son- Jesus was baptized, God the Holy Spirit descended from Heaven and settled upon Jesus like a dove, and then God the Father’s voice speaks from Heaven, stating His great joy and pleasure with His beloved Son Jesus.
Now, let’s go back to creation and see how all three distinct persons of the Holy Trinity are mentioned in the creation of humanity. I encourage you to review parts 2 and 3 of this series, where I discussed that Jesus and the Holy Spirit existed with the Father before creation.
Genesis 1:26 NLT states, “Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
The Bible uses the plural forms of “us” twice and “our” when speaking about the creation of humanity. This indicates the presence of the three distinct persons of the Holy Trinity when humanity was created.

3. All Three Distinct Persons Are Fully God
The Father is Fully God-
The truth that the Father is fully God can be seen throughout the scriptures. Let’s look at Ephesians 4:6 NLT – “one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.”
I encourage you to go back and review part 1 of the Holy Trinity series, where I discussed ten attributes of God.
Jesus is Fully God-
Jesus said in John 10:30 NLT – “The Father and I are one.”
The scripture says that Jesus is fully God in Matthew 1:23 NLT – “Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.”
As previously stated in part 2 of this series, John 1:1 NLT states, “ In the beginning, the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Again, the “Word “ (Logos-Greek) referenced here is Jesus. Therefore, Jesus was in the beginning; He was with God, and yes, Jesus is fully God.
The Holy Spirit Is Fully God
Acts 5:3-4 NLT – “Then Peter said, “Ananias, why have you let Satan fill your heart? You lied to the Holy Spirit, and you kept some of the money for yourself. The property was yours to sell or not sell, as you wished. And after selling it, the money was also yours to give away. How could you do a thing like this? You weren’t lying to us but to God!”
These Bible verses from the book of Acts indicate that the Holy Spirit is fully God.
So, in reviewing part 4 of this series, I discussed three truths: 1. There Is Only One God, 2. There Is One God In Three Distinct Persons, and 3. All Three Distinct Persons are Fully God using scripture references.
As I conclude this series, I pray that you will have a clearer understanding of the Holy Trinity with Bible verses that you can use for further study.
As always, remember to SEEK JESUS 4 LIFE !!!
